Occidental Center for the Arts Literary Series presents: Generation Occupy: Reawakening American Democracy with local author and co-founding editor of The Occupied Wall Street Journal, Michael Levitin, with special guest Tobias Snyder. The fight for a $15 minimum wage. Nationwide teacher strikes. Bernie Sanders’s political revolution and the rise of AOC. Black Lives Matter. #MeToo. Hear how the Occupy movement helped reshape American politics, culture and the groundbreaking movements to follow. There will be selected readings and vigorous Q&A, followed by book sales and author signing.
This is a FREE event; donations are welcome.
Proof of vaccination/ID will be required at the door, and masking while indoors. Refreshments, wine, and beer will be available for sale.
