3nd Annual Wet Hop Fest!
Join us for a the best beer time of the year…hop harvest! Harvest gives us the opportunity to showcase the hop in its best form. We will be partying in the parking lot for this event, and will have Live Music, an Outdoor Bar, BBQ, and a Hop Picking Machine demo from the Nor Cal Hop Alliance. You don’t want to miss this Labor Day Weekend event!
What are Wet Hops? They are hops that are used in brewing immediately after being picked from the bine (not vine). Wet hops have a different taste than kiln-dried hops. The base notes are similar, but there’s less full-throttle intensity, and the fresh hops add a vibrancy, a fineness, a definition, and a chlorophyll-driven energy that you don’t get in standard-hopped beers. Sounds good, doesn’t it?!
WET HOP BEER LINEUP
NorCal Hop Alliance IPA- A collaboration IPA using 100% local hops from a variety of hop farms around Sonoma County and Hazy Daze yeast for a juicy haze. All hop farms are members of the NorCal Hop Alliance.
Wet Hop Treehouse Saison- Our take on the classic farmhouse ale using hops from two hop yards. Estate grown wet Russian River Heritage California Cluster hops from our hopyard in Dry Creek, and from a farm in Windsor, CA. Treehouse boasts a rich Belgian yeast character with notes of bubblegum and melon, with a spicy hop finish.
Redwood Hill Wet Hop IPA – This IPA will use wet hop’s Cascade, Columbus, and Chinook from Redwood Hill Farms in Sebastopol, CA.
