Suicide is an epidemic with devastating effects for every impacted home and community. “Love Yourself: A Message of Hope and Help”, is a benefit concert that is a part of a larger effort to bring suicide prevention and treatment programs to Sonoma County. The concert will be a celebration featuring renowned classical music artists and keynote speaker Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg.
Elizabeth Morgan Brown was a young resident of Sonoma County and in May 2018 she ended her own life. She was 19 years old and about to graduate from college. While she was battling with depression and anxiety, she volunteered with NAMI and wanted to share her story to end the silence, erode the stigma, and change popular attitudes towards brain illness. We are inspired by Elizabeth’s desire to help others, and while she can’t continue her work, we are committed to carrying forward her intentions. Please come and join us in celebration of Elizabeth’s life and legacy. Bring your family and help support our mission to serve Sonoma County youth in need while also enjoying local food appetizers, local wine & beer, and listening to world-renowned classical musicians. It is going to be a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
