The Contraption Quartet is a sound art collaboration between Larnie Fox, Bodil Fox, Chris Miller and Lena Strayhorn, who are visual artists and musicians working together to create rhythmic layers of material-based analog sound. The Contraption Quartet explores sound and visual performance using low-tech invented instruments in sculptural environments. Enjoy this performance as an integrated addition to the Kinetics: Art in Motion exhibition.
The Contraption Quartet will play a 20-minute set, and will also set up a sound installation within which they will do informal improvisation and demonstrate their invented instruments.
