After decades of wanting to record a real album, Gary’s first, RELEASED AT LAST comes out on May 27, on his 70th birthday. The Sebastopol Center for the Arts is hosting this event as part of their performance series. There will be 8 players and 3 backup singers. The musicians are all extraordinary. 10% of every dollar raised on that site goes to the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights San Francisco. They’re a nonprofit representing people of color, immigrants, and low-income people in California. They’ve got a ton of work to do these days and need our help. Plus, they heard the rendition on the album of The Times They Are A’Changin’ and connected with it! They’re even cross-promoting the shows and will have a table at the Oakland theater. The other 90% goes straight to the players and singers.
