Put on your dancing shoes, bring the kids and celebrate summer outdoors in the Ner Shalom courtyard on July 10 from 4:30 – 8:30 at the “l’Chaim!” evening of Jewish Song and Dance at Ner Shalom, 85 LaPlaza, Cotati.
Kids 12 and under are welcome for free. Enjoy a variety of delicious vegetarian and vegan food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as wind and beer, all available for purchase.
Celebrated Jewish dance master, Bruce Bierman, will lead our steps and the remarkable San Francisco Yiddish Combo (SFYC ) will fill the air with exuberant, soulful klezmer melodies
Bruce Bierman is a teaching artist and award-winning theater director in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. He directed and choreographed the critically acclaimed musical, ‘The Megilleh of Itzik Manger’ for the Jewish Music Festival of Berkeley. Most recently he completed a groundbreaking video adaptation of  Sholem Asch’s ‘God of Vengeance’ which won the 20′-21′ Certificate of Commendation from the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards.  Bruce teaches his own Joy of  Jewish Dance workshops throughout the U.S.  He may be reached at:  jewishdance@yahoo.com. Comprising classically trained musicians who enjoy stretching musical boundaries, the SFYC is led by cellist Rebecca Roudman who has fronted groups all over the world bringing her virtuosic and fiery playing to stages from China to Iceland and beyond.
