The swimming lagoon at Spring Lake Regional Park turns into an off-leash dog park for four weekends in September 2019. Well-behaved dogs are invited to swim in the lagoon and romp on the beach Sept. 7-8, Sept. 15, Sept. 21-22, and Sept. 28-29. Please note there will be no dog swim on Sept. 14 due to a high school cross-country race.
This event is sponsored by the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation with a $5 entry fee per dog for Regional Parks’ members and $7 per dog for non-members. A non-transferable season pass allows a dog to enjoy every Water Bark date for just $30. All proceeds benefit the Foundation, which supports Regional Parks’ programs and operations. Advance tickets for all Water Bark dates and the season pass can be purchased at https://www.sonomacountyparksfoundation.org/water-bark.html.
Dog owners can purchase professional photos of their dogs in action. Award-winning local photographer Julie Vader will take photos on site the weekend of September 21-22. Photos will subsequently be for sale online at www.julievader.com, with 50% of photo sales benefiting the Parks Foundation.
For information on sponsorship for one the most popular, highly-anticipated parks events of the year, please contact Executive Director Melissa Kelley.
