Urinetown: The Musical
Music by Mark Hollmann, Lyrics by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis
Book by Greg Kotis
February 14 – March 1, 2020

In response to a severe water shortage, private toilets have been banned, pay-to-pee public ones are owned by the Urine Good Company, and violators are sent to Urinetown, a mythical penal colony from which they never return. But the spirit of pee-for-free rebellion is afoot.

This satiric musical-comedy created a splash in 2002, grabbing ten Tony nominations and winning for Best Book for a Musical and Best Original Score. It takes aim at the justice system, capitalism, bureaucracy, politics—and public toilets.

Don’t be scared off by the title, this is satire at its best. Prepare to laugh until you…
Considerations: Potty humor, threats of violence, rapidly moving images

Directed by Jay Manley
Music Direction by Lucas Sherman
