About Let’s Read Outside
Let’s Read Outside is a garden program at Bayer Farm, Jeff’s Garden at Andy’s Unity Park and other Sonoma County open spaces. This is a special opportunity to get to know Bayer Farm and engage in aloud story time in the garden. The Let’s Read Outside program provides opportunities for families to combine a love of reading with a love of being outdoors. Our goal is to increase the percentage of family members reading to children daily, while at the same time encouraging children and families to explore nature and get outside together. According to the Department of Education, the more children read and are read to, the more success they will have in their academic trajectory. Let’s Read Outside story time offers an opportunity to model reading out loud to the children, explore Bayer Farm and foster a love of books! If you have never visited the park and garden, this is your chance!
Where: This event will take place at Bayer Farm, 1550 West Ave. Santa Rosa, CA 95407. Due to limited parking space, please find street parking along West Avenue and walk to the garden.
