What is This World? Acoustic Music with Cook & Rose

Thu, August 28, 2025, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

I used to camp with a bunch of boys and sing “Oh, My Darlin’ Clementine”
Now I enter these old quarters as if for the first time.
I walked along the orchard road, picking windfalls from the ground
It’s been locusts and wild honey since I first laid a shadow down.
What is this world?

Throughout his life, Christopher Cook has been puzzled by the world. From his roots in folk and blues, he explores stories in song. Ten years ago, Emmy Rose joined in with her vocals and harmonium. Together they create a sound that has been described by listeners as moving, beautiful, and haunted by remembrance.

Cook & Rose have recorded two albums: “Honey from Dried Grass” and “The Lonesome American,” and have performed in concert halls and coffeehouses all over the West. They invite you to come, listen, and enjoy an evening of their original music. Bring a friend!
