The Press Democrat is thrilled to announce the return of Women in Conversation, our signature speaker series and women’s festival, taking place Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University.
Following last year’s culinary celebration featuring a Top Chef, this year’s event shines a spotlight on self-expression, creativity, and connection. Headlining the evening is none other than Molly Shannon: beloved comedian, film and television star, and unforgettable alum of Saturday Night Live.
Molly will take the stage for a candid, funny, and deeply personal keynote conversation, reflecting on her rise to comedic fame, her impactful time on SNL, and resilience shaped by a difficult childhood. It’s a story of grit, growth, and gut-busting laughs.
Before the main event, attendees are invited to explore The Experience, an interactive festival space on the Green Center lawn. From community vendors and immersive booths to joyful moments of community-building, The Experience offers an inspiring, hands-on celebration of women’s voices and visions.
