Winterblast, the happiest, wildest winter festival in Sonoma County returns to the SOFA Arts District, near downtown Santa Rosa on Saturday, November 19. Located at the junction of South A Street and Sebastopol Avenue in Santa Rosa, SOFA is just down the block from Julliard Park.
Parades of whimsically decorated and illuminated sofas will roll through the arts district streets with the colorful Hubbub Club marching band leading the merriment. Giant puppets and costumed performers weave and dance among them accompanied by light displays and surprise carnival acts. Live music on three stages. FREE and family-friendly.
This is the biggest event of the year for the artists of SOFA (South of A) district, who will open their studios to the public, giving an intimate view of these creative environments and the processes by which art is made.
Spinster Sisters Restaurant, Criminal Bakery and Atlas Coffee offer food and libations, along with other selected wineries, brewers and food trucks. There will be a special area for children to enjoy hands-on art activities. South A Street and Sebastopol Avenue will be closed to cars for easy strolling and viewing of the parades, exhibits and street entertainers.
Parade times: 6pm and 8pm
Free Admission
