Come join us to celebrate 106 yrs of entertainment ranging from well known comedy acts and singer- songwriters in a setting under the redwoods unsurpassed by any location in Northern California. The Monte Rio Variety Show comes to you directly from our Vacation Wonderland! Our community celebrates each July in a big way, with this event being a cornerstone of the summer holiday experience.
The evening is brought to you by St Catherine’s Catholic Church, the Monte Rio Fire Services Foundation and the Monte Rio School. It is a wonderful evening of entertainment by various artists playing on Broadway, films, and concert venues under the enchanting redwoods. The show is a combination of comedy and music and has featured well known talent such as Zac Brown, Clint Black, Jeff Dunham, Steve Miller, and the Beach Boys.
Under the beautiful towering canopy of redwood trees, the show is a tradition dating back to a collaboration of the community and members of the Bohemian Club to raise funds for a Catholic Church in Monte Rio. The church was built and dedicated in 1912 and remains in continuous operation thanks to the community and supporters.
In addition to the show, the event features a delicious Fireman’s BBQ, a no host wine & beer bar, and a fabulous dessert bar.
Tickets can be purchased at vendors located in Monte Rio and Guerneville or by visiting brownpapertickets.com. Adults are $30, Youth (age 13-17) are $15.
With professional sound and stage lighting, donated and presented by volunteers, the show is must-see for all. The net proceeds equally benefit The Monte Rio Fire Services Foundation, the Monte Rio School Foundation, and St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
