A Shopping Cart Race Around Cotati!!!

THE COTATITAROD:
Cotatitarod is a 5k foot race, pub crawl, food drive, costume contest, and art cart parade. This charity event is not for the faint of heart! Creativity encouraged. Good natured sabotage expected. Scrap art trophies awarded for speed, best costume, best decorated cart, most food donated, and the spirit of the event.
EVENT INFORMATION
A donation of at least 60 pounds of food for the Redwood Empire Food Bank is required from each team of five participants: one “musher” and four “dawgs.” The “dawg” sled teams zip around the double hexagon surrounding La Plaza Park on the sidewalks of Cotati for a beverage-fueled romp circling both ends of town before returning to the park. The race pauses at five checkpoints along the way for questions of a historical nature, stupid human tricks of a hysterical nature, and libations of any nature.
Check in begins at 10:00 AM at La Plaza Park in Cotati. Race starts at 1:00 PM. Pre-registration is necessary, along with a registration fee of $50 for each team of five.
SCHEDULE
● 10:00 am – check in and food donation drop off at La Plaza Park
● Noon – racer’s meeting
● 1:00 pm – race begins
● 4:00 pm – award ceremony at the stage in La Plaza park
● 5:00 pm – after-party at the Flagship Taproom
