Downstream brings together BANDALOOP Artistic Director/choreographer Melecio Estrella and composer Kevin Farrell in their shared hometown of Rohnert Park along with an ensemble of dancers and musicians.
As two children of parents who ‘escaped’ the rough edges of San Francisco for the promised tranquility of Sonoma County and are now both established artists back in urban environments, Estrella and Farrell will create a sonic and choreographic world where soundscapes of dense urbanity merge with the bucolic expanses of the land of their childhoods.
