Book Talk: Inga Aksamit's Between Worlds

Thu, August 21, 2025, 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm

Join us on Thursday, August 21 at 6:30 pm, when local author Inga Aksamit will present her latest book, Between Worlds: An Expat’s Quest for Belonging. Inga is an award-winning author, globe-rotting adventurer and veteran oncology nurse who writes about travel and human connection. She spent her formative childhood years as an expat as her family moved around the world for her father’s work. Living in South Asia and South America in the 1960s brought the family through harrowing world events; in fact, by the time she was thirteen, Inga faced her second war zone! Come and hear about the benefits and challenges of being a third-culture kid, anecdotes from war zones, and how Inga eventually ended up in Kenwood, volunteering at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park.

Free event; RSVP required, as there will be a reception before the event. Bring layers, and if you’d like, a snack. Parking fees apply.
