Dave MacNab's Jazz Lab at Hopmonk Sebastopol

Dave MacNab’s Jazz Lab is an exciting, energetic modern jazz trio. While rooted in the jazz tradition, the group draws from diverse influences such as funk, Latin, rock and Americana. With an emphasis on groove, interplay and beauty, one never knows what may happen in the Lab. 

Dave has been based in the Bay Area playing professionally for 35 years. Along with performing with local greats like Scott Amendola, Mads Tolling, Erik Jakobson, and John Santos he’s worked with national heavies Larry Goldings, Bob Sheppard, Mike Clark, Art Lande and others. He’s also worked with icons such as Bob Weir, Shelby Lynne, Charlie Musslewhite, Barry Manilow to name a few.

For over 20 years Dave has been the main guitarist for the Broadway National Tours coming through SF such as Hamilton, Wicked, Book of Mormon, Beautiful and too many others to list. He also has the honor of working with the San Francisco Symphony from time to time.
