Devin Thompson brings a fresh slant to Americana as he has only been a songwriter for a few years. “I sit down with an acoustic guitar. Early morning, late evening generally. I like to come up with a chord progression first,” Thompson said.

Thompson cites excellent songwriters John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Jason Isbell as a few of the artists he respects the most. This writer’s inside knowledge would also include his father, George “Coyote” Thompson, as a musical influence.
