Ease into a summer evening with this golden-hour paddle on the Petaluma River—an unforgettable way to end your weekend.
We’ll meet at The Floathouse docks and ride the generous 5.9’ high tide upstream, gliding past historic riverfront landmarks before slipping into the lush, quiet wetlands just beyond downtown. This stretch of river is Petaluma’s hidden gem—lined with willows and reeds, alive with birdsong and wildlife, and glowing in the soft evening light.
As we paddle, we’ll share stories of the river’s working past and its vibrant ecology today. Keep your eyes peeled for great blue herons, egrets, turtles, ducks, and hawks overhead. The light gets warmer, the world slows down, and the river does the work.
No experience necessary. Just come ready to unwind and connect—with nature, with the water, and maybe with a few new friends.
