The eight-mile, moderately-paced but challenging Hike to the Park Summit takes place at 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The journey begins in the shade of the Lake Trail and Mountain Trail, gradually transitioning to the sunlit Hayfields Trail as it ascends to the top of Sonoma Mountain.
Tickets for this hike are $10, plus the $10 per vehicle park entry fee, and are available at https://jacklondonpark.com/events/hike-to-the-summit/.
