Join an RFO docent who will lead a hike at sunset to point out a rare glimpse of Mercury. Meet at 8:00pm at the foot of the steps to RFO, we will depart at 8:10 sharp. The hike is only about a 1/3 mile (2/3 round trip) and the terrain is level but is on gravel so guests should wear closed-toed shoes and bring a sweater or jacket. While Mercury can be seen with the naked eye, we encourage guests to bring binoculars to get the most out of the experience. We will be back in time for the Night Sky Trails event. While the event is free, registration is required.
