SAN FRANCISCO AIRSHIP ACOUSTIC is about keeping Jefferson Airplane’s music alive. We grew up with their music, and maybe you did too. But we’ve discovered in performance that this music is even relevant to people who weren’t around for the original band. We started out as a full electric band – SAN FRANCISCO AIRSHIP.
We know that the roots of The Airplane’s music was in folk, blues and acoustic live performance. And we are not just performers, we are fans! So we do our best to honor the spirit of the original music. We’re bringing it back with the full force that only live music can do. Come along and join us!
The recent conditions have had a crushing effect on our music venues and all the musicians we love so much. The money donated during the Live Stream is split between the musicians performing on our Facebook page, and the people at HopMonk Presents, who package and produce the In the Meantime Series.
