We are excited to invite you to our first Community Fundraiser Event to support the ZIMBABWE CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROJECT OF CALIFORNIA.
Singer/Performer Piwai is an outstanding Zimbabwean artist known for her unique blend of traditional African music: Afrojazz, Reggae, and Neo Soul styles. She is hailed as “The Girl with the Magical Mbira.”
This will be a community event showcasing Piwai’s amazing musical talent and a photo exhibit depicting Zimbabwean history and culture.
Philip Chudy lived in Zimbabwe for many years and documented Zimbabwean life through his photography skills, following in the footsteps of his photographer father. His artwork captures much of the visual experience that Piwai’s music expresses.

All proceeds will go towards purchasing 1,500 computer tablets, to be shipped to
Zimbabwe for distribution to schools and community organizations, so they can
communicate electronically with schools and community organizations in California.
