Join the Santa Rosa Junior College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers in our final concert for this year “SHADOWS ON THE SOUL” Wednesday, May 18th at 7:30 pm in Burbank Auditorium. A program of mostly American music will provide moments of tenderness, longing, and sheer delight that will culminate in a performance of composer Ola Gjeilo’s profound 21st century work for chorus, strings and piano “DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL.” Commissioned in 2010 in memory of American choral legend Norman Luboff by his widow Gunilla, this beautiful work was performed in Carnegie Hall on April 17, 2022 by an ensemble that included 26 SRJC Choirs singers combining with Sonoma State Symphonic Chorus and Reedley College Choir.
