Inclusion Festival

Sat, May 13, 2023, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm

Everyone is invited to the Inclusion Festival, an all-ages music and arts festival that celebrates people with disabilities, their friends, families, and allies.

Founded in 2018, the festival is making a triumphant return this May after a three-year hiatus. This year’s lineup features diverse performers showcasing an array of talents. Some of the scheduled performers include: The Soulshake, Marshall House Project, Vocal Alchemy, Alchemia Theatre for Life Dancers, Ballet Folklorico, Kayatta Patterson, and Soul Emotions Band. In addition, the event will host a variety of local exhibitors, hands-on sensory activities, tie-dye, an interactive drum circle, and a silent disco curated by DJs from all walks of life. The Inclusion Festival began as a grassroots effort. In the words of founder Emily Hope Parker, “Inclusion matters. While venues and events are required to have accommodations in place to support people who have physical disabilities, there are few that take into account people who are neurologically diverse and may have sensory differences. Inclusion Festival is a place where people can feel comfortable being themselves. Everybody deserves to be invited, and everybody deserves music.” In 2020, Inclusion Festival organizers joined with Alchemia to support long-term sustainability and an ongoing connection to artists with disabilities.

Inclusion Festival will take place Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 11 am -6 pm at the Petaluma Community Center in Lucchesi Park. 320 N McDowell Blvd, Petaluma, CA 94954

Advance tickets are available via Eventbrite (sliding scale from $10-$25). No one will be turned away for lack of funds. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/inclusion-festival-2023-tickets-546609653187
