The Happys are a bay area band composed of four twenty-something-year olds-playing dysfunctional Surf Pop-Punk/Grunge.
They acquired a reputation with their rowdy live performances. Since their 2016 debut album Trippin, The Happys have embodied a vulnerability, setting their honest painful feelings of addiction to a wildly joyful surf-grunge sound.
Formed in the Bay Area, songwriter Nick Petty grew up writing music his entire life. Starting his career after overcoming addiction, depression and incarceration, powerful even strange songs started to form. The outfit is completed by Guitarist, Alex Sanchez, Bassist, Brett Brazil and Drummer Ben Moore. The Happys toured with artists such as Mad Caddies, Agent Orange, Del the Funky Homosapien, Band of Gringos, and LAW.
