Operation End Hunger at the Veterans’ Day Parade

Sat, November 11, 2023, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Redwood Empire Food Bank is proud to announce “Operation End Hunger,” a special food drive event set to coincide with the Veterans’ Day Parade in Petaluma on Saturday, November 11th. This initiative aims to support both our local veterans and community members in need.
During the parade, which winds through Walnut Park and downtown Petaluma from 1 pm to 3 pm, the Redwood Empire Food Bank will be collecting non-perishable food items and funds. The collection will take place in Walnut Park, conveniently located at the intersection of Petaluma Blvd and D Street, from 12 pm to 4 pm.
The community is encouraged to participate by bringing canned meat, peanut butter, rice, dry beans, low sugar cereal, and other non-perishable items to Walnut Park. Every contribution, big or small, will help make a significant impact in the fight against hunger in Sonoma County.
In addition to the collection efforts, the Redwood Empire Food Bank will have an information booth where attendees can learn more about the organization and discover ways to get involved in their ongoing mission to End Hunger in Our Community.
This Veterans Day, let’s come together to honor our veterans and support our neighbors in need. Join us at Walnut Park on Saturday, November 11th, between 12 pm and 4 pm. Your participation will help make a difference in the lives of those facing hunger.
